Job Description As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Driver in Columbus, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help foster a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while on duty.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the location.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and site leadership.
  • Complete necessary documentation and incident reports in accordance with company policies.
