As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol interior and exterior areas, support access control, respond to alarms, and document security-related activity. You will stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, assist employees and drivers with professionalism, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout warehouse and distribution areas, interior and exterior perimeters, parking areas, and dock doors to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, and vendors by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges as directed, maintaining visitor logs, and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Complete routine reports and document security-related and/or operational issues such as suspicious activity, hazards, damaged doors or fencing, and compliance concerns, and communicate updates during shift handoff.
