As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-profile government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors and staff with clear, professional communication. You will document activities using a computer and/or tablet and respond to concerns with calm customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by following post orders, site-specific procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public government cultural facility.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of galleries, public areas, offices, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and screen for prohibited items or unauthorized entry in accordance with site policies, reporting concerns to management and/or public agency partners.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, providing directions, and requesting medical or law enforcement support as needed.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate status updates to supervisors, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant details.
