About The Position

As a Security Officer - Museum Guard in SAN JOSE, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions and more. As an Unarmed Officer, you will contribute to a secure environment within cultural institutions by conducting routine rounds and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role includes providing exceptional customer service and communication, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. This position does not require driving or carrying arms, but a security license is preferred.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • CA-SP Registration-AUS translates to a California Security Professional Guard Card requirement.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, though this is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred for this position.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and engage in emergency response activities when necessary.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach.
  • Conduct regular and random checks around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
