About The Position

As a Security Officer Morning Shift in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, helping to identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access in accordance with site policies, and help to deter unauthorized persons from entering restricted or staff-only areas.
• Support a welcoming environment within a residential shelter setting by assisting with directions, answering routine questions, and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
