As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and onsite teams. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • This is primarily a driving post.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, property policies, and post orders, and initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct routine and random patrols throughout commercial real estate areas such as lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions, reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate parties.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing people to appropriate resources, and/or contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and daily activity logs, communicate observations during shift transitions, and support investigations by preserving information and reporting findings to site leadership.
