About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Vehicle Rounds in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-traffic commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to concerns, document activities, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors and/or employees by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the commercial property, including exterior perimeter, parking areas, common areas and mechanical spaces, to help to identify unusual activity, hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor alarms, access control points and/or CCTV where assigned; verify authorized entry, issue visitor directions and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire and/or intrusion alarms, suspicious activity and tenant requests, and coordinate with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, service requests and/or policy violations in written reports and logs; communicate shift activity to oncoming personnel and supervision.
