About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will perform routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents across the location. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy requirements. You will support a caring, people-first culture by communicating clearly, assisting visitors and staff, and documenting observations with integrity as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, verifying authorization and directing individuals according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
