Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points, observe for unusual conditions, and assist with visitor direction and/or queue management while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public agency partners as needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations using written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnover.
