Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences, to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain an orderly flow of people within the location.
• Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or providing directions during incidents as required.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency responders as needed.
• Document all incidents and/or suspicious activity according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
