Job Description As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Goleta, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to security-related concerns, document observations, and deliver customer-focused communication with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas while supporting a reliable, caring, and innovative operation. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of processing areas, buildings, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unsafe conditions.
  • Monitor access points, check identification and/or credentials as directed, and control visitor and contractor entry in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete routine security-related reports, including incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
