About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Rondier in STATEN ISLAND, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will operate a company and/or site vehicle to support patrol coverage and response. You will also deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and accurate reporting as part of a reliable, caring team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns.
  • Monitor entry points, loading areas, and restricted spaces, verifying authorization and directing visitors and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate key updates during shift briefings and post handoffs.
