Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to support coverage, respond to alarms and/or calls for service, and deliver clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed at a chemical and petrochemical facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting details per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or conditions requiring attention.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by following credential checks, visitor processing, and/or vehicle screening procedures as assigned.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications using required systems and/or forms, and report maintenance or operational concerns through the appropriate channels.
