About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a driving post, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, assist patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication, and document activities. Requirements

  • Proof of required hospital vaccinations is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control processes, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter areas, watching for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or hazards and reporting concerns through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing foot traffic, and requesting medical staff and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor and document authorized entry to restricted areas, support visitor management as assigned, and help maintain orderly movement through entrances, lobbies, and/or checkpoints.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site stakeholders.
