Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Bartow, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, where you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, report issues clearly, and deliver strong customer service through calm communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in the job state.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of processing areas, tank farms, warehouses, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
- Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, logging entries and exits, and directing deliveries to designated locations in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with site notifications, scene control, and coordination with on-site management and/or first responders.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems as assigned; complete shift reports and incident documentation, and communicate hazards, maintenance concerns, and operational issues through the proper channels.
