As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will perform routine patrols and checks, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes; note irregular activity and report concerns per post orders.
  • Control access by checking identification, verifying authorization, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; assist with coordination with site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Complete accurate written reports and required documentation, including incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and communicate notable updates during shift handoff.
