Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Zeeland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while supporting operations. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will provide excellent customer service, clear communication, and accurate reporting, while reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or local emergency services as needed and completing detailed reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance and/or operational concerns.
- Control access at entrances and gates by screening visitors and vendors, verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs and directing foot and vehicle traffic.
- Monitor security-related systems and activity, including cameras and alarm notifications, and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts to address policy violations and/or suspicious behavior.
