About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help monitor and patrol an active project location, completing routine rounds, staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicating clearly with site contacts. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to cover larger areas and respond to needs quickly. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every interaction.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following site-specific procedures and other security-related policies and/or post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating issues per protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the location, including the building perimeter, access points, and common areas, noting hazards and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors by verifying authorization, following sign-in procedures, and directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Complete reports and logs, communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision, and assist with loss prevention and security-related awareness to help to deter unwanted activity.
