As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will welcome associates and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and support badge check-in processes. You will remain a highly visible presence, conduct routine patrols nearby, and communicate clearly to help identify and report security-related concerns. Requirements

Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access at retail and mall entrances, service corridors and/or back-of-house areas by verifying identification, directing visitors, managing sign-in logs and issuing visitor credentials when authorized.
Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity and/or policy violations; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and complete required reports.
Coordinate access for deliveries, vendors and contractors by confirming appointments, guiding to approved routes and communicating with onsite management as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas and the perimeter, with working conditions varying by location.
