You will monitor assigned areas, complete routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist guests and staff with clear, courteous communication. You will also document activity using site technology while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, access control protocols, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
  • Control access at designated entrances and restricted areas by checking identification, verifying authorizations, managing visitor logs, and issuing temporary credentials as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, cameras, and alarm panels for irregular conditions and policy violations, and communicate observations to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with lost and found, unruly guests, medical calls for service, and tenant support requests as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
