Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy healthcare location, where you will greet patients, visitors, and staff, support access control and badging processes, and help monitor entry points for security-related concerns. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and document observations using a computer or tablet as needed. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following access control procedures, screening protocols, and site-specific policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct entry screening by verifying identification when required, checking bags or carried items per site procedures, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in or care areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, disruptive behavior, and/or assistance requests from staff.
  • Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and other assigned locations for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access, reporting concerns promptly through the established chain of command.
  • Complete required documentation such as screening logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
