As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds throughout clinical and public areas, maintain a highly visible presence, and help to identify and report potential security-related concerns. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, communicate clearly during incidents, and document observations. Requirements

  • Proof of required vaccinations is required for hospital roles.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical-area disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to the appropriate hospital department and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring doors, visitor flow, and restricted areas, and assist with wayfinding and de-escalation as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely updates during shift change.
