Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Specialist in Wexford, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Vaccinations required for hospital positions.
• Ability to work in hospital morgue environments.
• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere for staff, visitors, and patients.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons in or around the location.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and site staff regarding security-related matters, as needed.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials where required.
• Assist with crowd management and help to maintain order during peak times or special events within the facility.
