You will conduct routine patrols throughout the campus, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver strong customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements
- Proof of required hospital vaccinations is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
- Control access points as assigned, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, providing directions, and helping to maintain orderly lobby and treatment area flow.
- Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and support patient transport escorts and/or staff assistance requests as directed by site procedures.
