As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related issues, support vaccine-related operations, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • This hospital site requires vaccines.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, parking lots, and building perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes and/or assisting with access control as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor assigned areas and report hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts, completing incident reports and required documentation.
  • Assist with visitor management and wayfinding as needed, including directing foot traffic, supporting after-hours access procedures, and/or coordinating with clinical and facilities teams during events.
