Job Description As a Security Officer - Medical Clinic in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and clear communication, while documenting activity and using site technology as needed. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 or more months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy concerns, and suspicious activity through required communication and documentation channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entrances, corridors, parking areas, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Monitor access points and observe for security-related concerns, assisting with visitor direction, wayfinding, and de-escalation support as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activity, and unusual occurrences, and coordinate with site personnel and/or public responders when required.
