As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will also assist with access control and badge checks while documenting observations and concerns. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Be able to lift more than 20 lbs, preferred.
Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the location, including corridors, waiting areas, entrances, stairwells, and exterior perimeter areas as assigned.
Monitor access points and help maintain orderly entry by verifying credentials, directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas, and following visitor management procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and requests for assistance from staff.
Observe and report conditions that may impact operations, such as blocked exits, unsecured doors, unattended items, and/or unauthorized persons in restricted areas.
Support a professional environment by using de-escalation techniques and clear communication to help resolve conflicts and/or disruptive behavior.
Operate and monitor security-related systems as assigned, such as alarms, cameras, and communications equipment, and notify appropriate personnel of issues.
Complete detailed, timely reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations in accordance with site requirements.
Coordinate with on-site leadership and local first responders during emergencies, including evacuations, medical events, and/or fire alarm activations, as directed by post orders.
Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence, performing patrols, and following established procedures for addressing concerns.
Protect privacy and confidentiality by following applicable policies when handling sensitive information encountered during assigned duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by Allied Universal and site leadership in accordance with post orders.
