Job Description As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol in Wexford, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
This post is located in a hospital morgue.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and clear communication.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify security-related concerns.
Control access at designated entrances by monitoring authorized entry, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in points.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and other systems as assigned and report irregular activity according to post orders.
Document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written logs and/or electronic reporting systems in a timely manner.
Assist with visitor management by providing directions, supporting wayfinding, and coordinating with staff for after-hours access as required.
Support staff during disruptive behavior incidents by maintaining a professional presence and contacting appropriate responders when escalation may be needed.
Help maintain orderly flow in high-traffic areas such as lobbies, corridors, emergency department entrances, and waiting rooms as assigned by post orders.
Perform checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas to confirm they are secured per site policy and report maintenance issues such as broken locks, lighting outages, and/or hazards.
Respond to calls for assistance such as lost and found inquiries, escorts to vehicles when available, and/or locating departments within the facility.
Work closely with facility leadership, clinical teams, and local responders as needed, following the chain of command and established communication protocols.
