About The Position
As a Security Officer - Media Facility Unarmed in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with employees and visitors, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors within the location.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
- Support emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures for the location.
