About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Facility Unarmed Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
Monitor access points and check credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
Report and document any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site staff to uphold security-related standards and support a positive experience for all occupants and visitors.
Remain alert to changing conditions and risks within the tech and media location, adapting response as necessary.
