As a Security Officer - Media Facility Patrol Driver in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post that requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication, embodying Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity while working together to create a welcoming and secure atmosphere for everyone on site.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with site staff and visitors to address questions and provide guidance related to security-related matters.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures while on duty.
