About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Campus Patrol in Uxbridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech-oriented location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and respond promptly to incidents or requests. Your role supports a secure and welcoming environment where teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture are at the forefront.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe any unusual conditions.
Document and report observations, incidents, and/or suspicious activity according to site protocols.
Work collaboratively with site staff and Allied Universal team members to address concerns and support the overall security-related needs of the location.
Remain alert and attentive to the environment, adapting to changing conditions typical of a tech, media, or telecom facility.
