About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Campus Patrol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site, particularly in a technology, media, or telecom setting.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as security-related breaches, property damage, or unauthorized persons on site.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
Support emergency response activities and follow established protocols for the location.
