About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Access Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech and media location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting visitors and staff. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks.
Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures specific to a tech and media environment, adapting to changing needs and protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site leadership to address concerns and improve security-related measures as needed.
