About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Access Control in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech-driven environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence to all visitors and staff. Requirements

  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and screen individuals entering the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures and protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity through observation and adherence to procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, adapting to the unique environment of a technology-focused location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns or incidents.
