About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Access Control in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology and media location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a strong presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • This position is primarily a driving post and is preferred for candidates comfortable with driving.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and/or visitors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or suspicious activity according to company and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs and/or concerns specific to the technology, media, and telecom environment.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and adapt to evolving security-related requirements as needed.
