As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge issuance, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible, document observations, and assist employees and visitors with clear, respectful communication. Requirements

• Have a TSA Issued TWIC.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, post orders, and security-related policies at a utilities location.
• Control entry and exit at gates, lobbies, and/or checkpoints by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and verifying authorizations for restricted areas.
• Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control panels, and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate and notifying designated contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, exteriors, and perimeter points, while documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
