About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Facility in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through clear communication and customer service. You will monitor alarms and access points, document observations, and partner with site teams to address concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per protocol.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
• Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor logs, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Complete routine security-related reports such as shift activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
