Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A current CPR certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Monitor visitor, patient, and vendor access at the reception area, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to maintain an orderly entry process.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, document daily activity and unusual events, and report concerns related to access control, property, and/or facility operations.
  • Support a professional lobby presence by observing the entrance area, helping to deter unauthorized access, and following post orders and client-directed protocols.
