About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol in Shelbyville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the facility to appropriate personnel.
Assist with controlling access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site procedures.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on duty.
Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
