About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Site - Full Time in Emporia, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, offering exceptional customer service while maintaining access control. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible presence.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and/or emergency responders as required during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain awareness of the unique operational environment and potential risks associated with a manufacturing and industrial location.
