About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Plant Access Control Specialist in Myerstown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the facility by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location, in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing facility and perimeter to observe for irregularities and report findings as appropriate.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
Assist with emergency response activities at the location, such as evacuations or medical situations, as directed by site leadership or Allied Universal management.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
