About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Plant Access Control Specialist in Myerstown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the facility by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location, in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing facility and perimeter to observe for irregularities and report findings as appropriate.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist with emergency response activities at the location, such as evacuations or medical situations, as directed by site leadership or Allied Universal management.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
