Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the location to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or identification of individuals entering the location, as required.
Document observations, incidents, and/or maintenance needs during patrols and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and client contacts.
