Job Description As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol in SAN JOSE, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with employees and visitors. You'll be part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, all while contributing to a caring and people-first culture.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards encountered during patrols within the manufacturing and industrial location.
Communicate clearly with team members, management, and site personnel to relay important security-related information.
Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and monitor entry and exit points as required by site policies.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Support emergency response procedures and provide assistance during drills or actual emergency situations.
