About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Front Desk in Newton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Your presence at the front desk will help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the facility by greeting visitors, verifying identification, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Assist with visitor and employee check-in and check-out processes, maintaining accurate records as required by site policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors to address inquiries and provide guidance as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to help to deter unwanted incidents at the location.
