Job Description As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Facility in Dexter, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining high visibility, and supporting a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols specific to the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to maintain awareness of activity within the location.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed to relay information and support incident response.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and report any security-related concerns or hazards to appropriate personnel.
