Job Description As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Facility in Dexter, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining high visibility, and supporting a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols specific to the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any irregularities.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to maintain awareness of activity within the location.
Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed to relay information and support incident response.
Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
Remain alert to changes in the environment and report any security-related concerns or hazards to appropriate personnel.
