About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Zeeland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols to help spot unusual activity, support access control, and respond to alarms and incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, document observations, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking lots, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as required, and direct traffic and deliveries to designated check-in areas in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken, and notifying site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Complete routine reporting, including patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, and assist with basic security-related inspections such as checking doors, gates, and lighting for irregularities.
