Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail or mall location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual circumstances.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and assist with crowd management as needed.
- Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities according to company and site standards.
- Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including guiding patrons and coordinating with first responders if necessary.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding site issues or concerns.
