As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support shoppers, tenants, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to each shift while helping create a welcoming environment for everyone on site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Ability to meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail mall location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report maintenance, life-related, and/or security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Support daily mall operations by assisting with crowd management, monitoring high-traffic areas, and providing direction during opening, closing, and special event activities.
