As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests, assist with directions and concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site leadership and local responders as needed. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail and mall setting.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior common areas, storefront corridors, and exterior perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control expectations and/or crowd flow during peak hours and special events.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear directions to guests and coordinating with site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
Complete required reports and documentation for incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
